Our Mission

At Froot, we're on a mission to make healthy eating easier and more accessible while reducing food waste. We connect individuals and communities to share surplus produce or discover fresh, locally grown options. We're committed to raising awareness on diabetes in youth and food poverty by promoting smarter food choices and advocating for equitable access to nutrition. Join us in building a healthier, more sustainable future.

We believe in giving back—our profits help sustain local food banks and the vital services they provide.

What We See

The Growing Crisis

We are witnessing an alarming rise in diabetes among youth, particularly in low-income communities. Food poverty forces families to rely on processed, sugar-laden foods that are often more affordable than fresh, nutritious alternatives.

When healthy food is inaccessible due to cost or availability, children develop poor eating habits early in life, setting them on a path toward chronic health conditions. The cycle of food insecurity and poor health outcomes disproportionately affects families who are already struggling financially.

What We Do

Community Action

The Froot family organizes in-person, local campaigns that bring fresh, affordable produce directly to communities in need. Our approach is hands-on and community-centered.

Fresh Produce Campaigns

Community members can sign up or simply show up to access affordable, locally grown produce purchased or provided by local farmers and crowd shippers.

Food Waste Reduction

People can donate extra food they don't wish to see go to waste, helping us redistribute resources to families who need them most.

Growing Your Own Produce

We host educational experiences where local farmers teach students how to plant and grow their own produce, promoting healthier lifestyles and potentially discovering new hobbies.

What We Envision

A Healthier Future

Froot envisions communities where diabetes rates decline and healthy eating habits flourish. We strive to make healthy, fresh produce more affordable and readily accessible to families struggling with food poverty.

Our goal is to create sustainable systems that connect local agriculture with community needs, ensuring that geographic and economic barriers no longer prevent access to nutritious food.
